Reed Peraner is a Certified Legal Video Specialist and Digital Media Producer with over a decade of experience in video production and storytelling. A Hofstra University graduate with a B.A. in Film Studies & Production and a minor in Creative Writing, he’s spent his career blending technical know-how with a love for great storytelling—whether that means crafting award show content, filming legal depositions, or somehow ending up as the voice of an FDNY exhibit.
Reed started his career at BuzzFeed, then moved on to the FDNY, where he produced the department’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign, helping vaccinate 800+ members (not personally, but his videos were persuasive). He also served as lead camera operator for the FDNY Fire Zone’s Learning Center renovation at Rockefeller Center, a role that left his mark—literally, since his voice is now part of an interactive exhibit.
Now, Reed heads Broadcast & Production at The One Club for Creativity, producing content for industry heavyweights like The ONE Show, ADC Annual Awards, and Type Directors Club. He also oversees Where Are All the Black People?, a top diversity career conference, and manages/curates the ONE Screen Short Film Festival, because apparently, running one big event at a time just isn’t enough.
On the freelance side, Reed works with SHOOTDAY, capturing high-quality RAW videos for corporate events, product launches, and social gatherings. He has covered events at M.I.T. and Harvard Business School, where he directs people who don’t know what to do with their hands to create compelling visuals.
Certified by the National Court Reporters Association in 2024, Reed also specializes in legal video production, ensuring depositions are recorded with precision, compliance, and absolutely no dramatic zoom-ins.
Outside of the editing bay, he’s a cinephile, comic book enthusiast, true crime junkie, birder, photographer, and runner—because sitting at an editing bay all day requires at least some attempt at movement. His portfolio reflects a career built on creative problem-solving, technical skills, and an occasional well-timed joke.
